Forgiveness. The remission of a fault. In the gospel of Christ, free forgiveness of sins is set forth. Acts 5:31; Acts 13:38-39; 1 John 1:6-9; 1 John 2:12. And the full remission, which transgressors have at God's hand for Christ's sake, is made the ground and the pattern of that forgiving spirit which is to be manifested by Christ's true followers.
