(Strong's #1369 — Verb — dichazo — dee-khad'-zo )

"to cut apart, divide in two," is used metaphorically in Matthew 10:35 , "to set at variance."

Notes: (1) In Galatians 5:20 , AV, eris, "strife" (RV), is rendered "variance." (2) For adiakritos, James 3:17 , RV, "without variance" (marg., "doubtfulness, or partiality"), AV, "without partiality" (marg., "without wrangling"), see PARTIAL.
