is used of birds, Matthew 23:37; Luke 13:34; symbolically in Revelation 12:14 , RV, "the two wings of the great eagle" (AV, "two wings of a great eagle"), suggesting the definiteness of the action, the "wings" indicating rapidity and protection, an allusion, perhaps, to Exodus 19:4; Deuteronomy 32:11,12; of the "living creatures" in a vision, Revelation 4:8; 9:9 .
