Jeremiah 5:8 (a) The horse calls for his mate for he wishes companionship and association. There is no real relationship between these animals, and the Lord is calling upon men to remember divine relationships which have ordained human relationships and thus to maintain a godly, consistent life. He is not to be constantly seeking for alliances which are not just and true. (See also Jeremiah 13:27).
