1 Samuel 3:19 (a) By this type the Lord is promising to Samuel that all his words will be used to profit the hearers, and that none of his sayings will be wasted.

1 Samuel 14:45 (a) In this peculiar way and by this figure the people are asserting that no harm of any kind shall come to Jonathan who had won such a great victory over the Philistines.

Ephesians 3:17 (b) This figure is used to describe the deep-seated faith and trust of one who believes GOD and believes fully GOD's Word.

Colossians 1:23 (b) By this figure is indicated a firm conviction and a true faith in the teachings of GOD's Word, GOD's Truth.

1 Timothy 3:15 (a) This describes the permanency, the stability, the reliability of the true church of GOD established by CHRIST, and of its members who are saved through His Blood.
