(Heb. Abi'-Albon', אֲבַיאּעִלְבוֹן, father of strength, i.e. valiant; Sept. ‘Αβὶ‘Αλβώνv. r.‘Αβὶ‘Αρβών, Vulg. Abialbon), one of David's bodyguard (2 Samuel 23:31); called in the parallel passage (1 Chronicles 11:32) by the equivalent name ABIEL (See ABIEL) (q.v.).
