a Spanish sculptor, lived near the close of the 16th century. Nearly all of his works are in silver. He made for the Cathedral of Cuenga crucifixes, reliquaries, chandeliers, and a splendid ostensoir which is admired to this day. For this last article he received 16,755 ducats, and the weight of it was 1600 marks. He left a. large number of statuettes and bass-reliefs, which were highly esteemed for the delicacy of their execution. The worl of Becerril is largely executed in Gothic style.
