Beltis (or Belat)

in Babylonian mythology, was the sister and consort of the deity Bel. She was the goddess of war as well as of nature, and was called "the Mother of the Gods." According to Herodotus, every woman living in Babylon was compelled to prostitute herself to a stranger in the Temple of Beltis once in her life. Her analogue was the Mylitta of Greek mythology.
