Caletti, Giuseppe

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(called il Cremonese), a painter of Ferrara, was born about 1600, and first studied the works of D. Dossi, but afterwards became an imitator of Titian. He has two fine pictures in the church of San Benedetto at Ferrara, representing St. Mark, and the Four Doctors of the church. He died in 1660. See Spooner, Biog.
