Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was a member of the Missouri Conference. For more than twenty years his words and manner charmed, moved, and convinced the thousands who listened to his wonderful preaching. He died from 'the effects of a wound received in his own house, from a shell fired during the battle of Glasgow, Mo., in 1864. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the 1. E.
