Carmichael, Ichabod B.

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in 1823. He was converted in 1834; served the Church some time as class-leader and exhorter; and, after spending several years in preparing himself better for the ministry, he entered the New Jersey Conference. He labored with wondrous zeal and fidelity until his death, Jan. 11, 1858. Mr. Carmichael was energetic beyond his strength, sustained an unquestioned piety, and lived an exemplary life.
