Curtis, John D.

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Plymouth, England, February 29, 1816. He came to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with his parents, when but three years of age; began preaching at the age of twenty; in 1837 united with the Philadelphia Conference; in 1876 became superannuated, and retired to the city of Wilmington, where he died, July 25, 1877.
