a Baptist minister, was born at Reading, Berkshire, England, in 1837. He came to the United States in 1863, and took up his residence in Gloversville, N.Y.; soon after entered the ministry, settling first at Northville, and removing afterwards to Newark; he became pastor of the North Baptist Church, and subsequently of the Calvary Church, in Albany, where he died, June 20, 1877.
