Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(or Enswida), a British saint, commemorated Aug. 31, was the daughter of Eadba, king of Kent, and lived a virgin, in a nunnery founded by her, at Folkestone, where she died, some say in 640, others in 673.
