(rather Edais, ᾿Ηδαϊ v ς , Vulg. Esmi), one of the "sons of Ethma," who had married foreign wives after the captivity (1 Esdras 9:35); evidently the Jadau (q.v.) of the Hebrews list (Ezra 10:43).
