(Heb. Chabayah', חֲבִיָּה or חֲבָיָה, protected by Jehovah; Sept. Ο᾿βα ‹ α and Ε᾿βαια, a priest whose descendants returned from the captivity with Zerubbabel, but were degraded from the priestly office on account of not being able to trace their genealogy (Ezra 2:6; Nehemiah 7:63). B.C. ante 459.
