a Roman Catholic theologian, was born in 1740 at Rappersweil, Switzerland. He studied at the Collegium Helveticum in Milan, in 1794 was appointed pastor at Gebratshofen, and died in 1797. He published, Die heilige Schrift des Neuen Testaments (Kempten, 1790-91; 2d ed. 1794): Die heilige Schrift. des Alten Testaments (the Pentateuch only) (Frankfort, 1798).
