a minister of the Reformed (Dutch) Church, was born near Neshanic, N. J.. Sept. 30, 1798. He graduated at Queen's College in 1816, and at New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 1820, when he was licensed by the Classis of New Brunswick; preached for the Presbyterian Church at Meadville, Pa., 1820-23; Presbyterian Church, Mendham, N. J., 1824-25; Reformed (Dutch) Church, Readington, N. J., 1826-69. He died Oct. 18, 1869. During his ministry of forty-nine years, about six hundred persons united with the Church.
