Vial

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

is the rendering, in the A.V., of פִּךְ, pak (from פָּכָה, to distil), a bottle or flask, e.g. of oil (1 Samuel 10:1; "box," 2 Kings 9:1; 2 Kings 9:3); and φιάλη (1 Esdr. 2, 13; Revelation 5:8, etc.), a bowl (q.v.).
