a Presbyterian minister, was born at Lancaster, Kentucky, September 14, 1804. He studied privately, was licensed to preach in 1829, became pastor at Stanford and Lancaster in 1830 removed to Saline County, Missouri, in 1833, and thereafter labored alternately as teacher and pastor in various places, especially Danville, Kentucky, where he died, May 28, 1882.
