Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

אֶלָּסָר Genesis 14:1, Genesis 14:9 [Ellasar], the name of a region, apparently to be sought near Babylonia and Elymais (for it occurs between שִׁנְעָר and עֵילָם). Symm. and Vulg. Pontus; Trag. Jerus. תְּלַאשַּׂר (Isaiah 37:12). But some province of Persia or Assyria is intended, as is shewn by the Assyriaco-Babylonian name of the king אַרְיוֹךְ; compare Daniel 2:14.
