 [תַּחְבֻּלָה] noun feminine direction, counsel (probably originally of rope- pulling, i.e. steering, directing a ship, see חֹבֵּל, so Thes; see De Proverbs 1:5); — only plural and only Wisdom Literature. תַּחְבֻּלוֺת absolute Proverbs 1:5 3t.; construct Proverbs 12:5; suffix תַּחבּוּלֹת֯ו Job 37:12 direction, guidance (i.e. by God) Job 37:12 (of thunder cloud); counsels of wicked (רשׁעים) Proverbs 12:5 (opposed to מַחְשְׁבוֺת צדיקים); Generally good, wise counsels Proverbs 1:5; Proverbs 11:14 ("" רֹב יועֵץ), Proverbs 24:6 ("" id.); Proverbs 20:18 ("" עֵצָה).
