συναυξ-άνω,
impf. συνηύξανε Suid. s.v. συνήκμαζε (also Pass. -αυξάνομαι X. Cyr. 8.7.6, D. 8.72), but usu. συναυξ-αύξω, aor. -ηύξησα Plb. 6.15.7, Plu. Sert. 9, also -ηῦξα, Dor. -αῦξα, Plb. 32.1.7 (corr. Reiske), Supp.Epigr. (v. infr.): —
increase or enlarge along with or together, συναύξειν τῇ γῇ τὰ Χρήσιμα X. Mem. 4.3.6 (in h.Cer. 267, Ignarra restored συνάξουσι): — Pass., increase with or together, wax larger together with, αὐξομένῳ τῷ σώματι συναύξονται καὶ αἱ φρένες Hdt. 3.134, cf. Hp. Art. 12, 53; εἰ μὴ ξυναύξοινθ' οἱ πέπλοι τῷ σώματι E. El. 544; ἀνδρὶ γενομένῳ ταῦτα πάντα συνηυξήθη Isoc. 9.23, cf. 1.7; πρός τι συμμέτρως συναυξάνεσθαι in proportion to, X.
