Vocabulary of the Greek NT

For . with οἶδα, as 1 Thessalonians 5:2, cf. P Goodsp Cairo 3.8 f. (iii/B.C.) ὅπως ἀκριβῶς εἰδῆις P Petr II. 15 (1).11 (iii/B.C.) εἰδῆσαι ἀκριβῶς : cf. P Hib I. 40.6 f. (iii/B.C.) ἐπίστασο μέντοι ἀκριβῶς, P Par 44.7 (B.C. 153) ( = Witkowski Epp..2 p. 83) διασάφη ]σ ̣όν μ ̣ο ̣ι ̣ . . . τὰ περὶ σαυτὸν ἀκριβῶς, P Lond 354.23 (c. B.C. 10) ( = II. p. 165) ἐπιγνόντα ἀκρειβῶς ἕκαστα. The comparative is used very much as in Acts 23:15; Acts 23:20 in P Oxy VIII. 1102.12 (c. A.D. 146), the strategus ἀκρειβέστερον ἐξετάσει ᾗ κατοι ̣κ ̣ι ̣ͅ, and again BGU II. 388ii. 41 (ii/iii A.D.). ἥξει Ἅρπαλος καὶ ἐξετα σθήσεται περὶ τούτου ἀκρειβέσ [τ ]ερον : the combination was evidently a formula. With πυνθάνεσθαι (as in Acts 23:20) cf. P Petr II. 16.13 (iii/B.C.) πευσόμεσθα ἀκριβέστερον. The superlative occurs in P Hib I. 27ii. 34 (early iii/B.C.) ὡς οὖν ἠδυνάμην ἀκριβέστατα.
