קָבַר fut. יִקְבֹּר to bury one, Genesis 23:4, 19 Genesis 23:19, 25:9 more, Ezekiel 39:12 i.q. Piel (Arab., Aram., Eth. id. The primary idea is that of heaping up a mound; see Nasor. קבר to heap up; compare צָבַר. The biliteral stock is קב; compare קָבַב, קָבַע; compare גַּב, גָּבַב).

Niphal, pass, Ruth 1:17; Judges 8:32.

Piel, to bury several (comp. קָטַל and קִטֵּל, Lehrg. 241), Numbers 33:4; 1 Kings 11:15 Jerem. 14:16 Ezekiel 39:14; Hosea 9:6.
