קַב m. prop. a hollow vessel (see the root קָבַב No. 1 compare cupa, Engl. a cup); hence a cab, used as a measure of dry things, 2 Kings 6:25 according to the Rabbins, the sixth part of a seah (סֵאָה); comp. Gr. κάβος, i.e. χοῖνιξ.
