Qal Perfect 3 plural טָווּ work of women of Israel Exodus 35:25 absolute, Exodus 35:26 followed by accusative אֶתהָֿעִזִּים goats, i.e. goats' hair (P).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

טָוָה

(1) i.q. Arab. طوى to roll together, to twist, hence to spin. Exodus 35:25, 26 Exodus 35:26.

(2) to suffer hunger, to fast, i.q. Arab. طَوِىَ, whence طَوًى hunger, طَلو hungry, famished. Properly, to be twisted, i.e. in the bowels. Thus the Arabs ascribe twisted, or entangled, bowels to those who are hungry, e.g. Hariri Cons. iii. p. 142, ed. Schult., طوى الاحشا عاى الطوى to have the bowels twisted from want of food. Compare Schultens in the book just referred to, p. 4, 136.
