מָגוּר m. (from the root גּוּר No. 1).

(1) pl. מְגנּרִים wanderings, sojourning in foreign lands; Genesis 17:8, אֶרֶץ מְגֻרֶיךָ “the land in which thou sojournest,” art a stranger; Genesis 28:4, 36:7 37:1. Sometimes used of human life, in which man remains, like a guest, for a shorter time than he wishes, Genesis 47:9; Psalms 119:54 (compare Psalms 39:13; 1 Chronicles 29:15).

(2) an abode, Psalms 55:16.
