חֲמוּטַל (“father-in-law,” or connection by marriage “of the dew” [‘whose near connection is the dew’], i.e. refreshing like dew; perhaps also for חֲמוֹת טַל), [Hamutal], pr.n. of the wife of king Josiah, 2 Kings 23:31, 24:18 Jeremiah 52:1, in which latter places the כתיב is חֲמִיטַל.
