Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

קַדִּישׁ Ch. adj. i.q. Heb. קָדוֹשׁ holy

(a) used of God, or any deities, אֱלָהִין קַדִּישִׁין the holy gods, Daniel 4:5, 5:11.

(b) of angels. Daniel 4:10, עִיר וְקַדִּישׁ “a watcher (an angel) even a holy one.” Pl. קַדִּישִׁין holy ones, i.e. angels, Daniel 4:14 (see קְדוֹשִׁים No. 2, a).

(c) used of the Jews, Daniel 7:21 fully קַדִּישֵׁי עֶלְיוֹנִין those who are sacred to the Most High, Daniel 7:18, 22, 25 compare Esdr. 8:70, τὸ σπέρμα τὸ ἅγιον.
