But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE."

Submit therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Do not speak against one another, brothers and sisters. The one who speaks against a brother or sister, or judges his brother or sister, speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it.

There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you, judging your neighbor?

But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil.

But above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you do not fall under judgment.

and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior;

for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable, but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.

BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER." And this is the word which was preached to you.

And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by people, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,

This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for unbelievers, "A STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE,"

But you are A CHOSEN PEOPLE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR GOD'S OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.

Act as free people, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond-servants of God.

Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are harsh.
