Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem.

¹ I was glad when they said to me,
"Let's ^(C1)go to the house of the LORD."

² Our feet are standing
Within your ^(C1)gates, Jerusalem,

³ Jerusalem, that has been ^(C1)built
As a city that is ^(C2)firmly joined together;

⁴ To which the tribes ^(C1)go up, the tribes of ^(F1)the LORD—
^(F2)An ordinance for Israel—
To give thanks to the name of the LORD.

⁵ For ^(C1)thrones were set there for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.

⁶ Pray for the ^(C1)peace of Jerusalem:
"May they prosper who ^(C2)love you.

⁷ "May peace be within your ^(C1)walls,
And prosperity within your ^(C2)palaces."

⁸ For the sake of my ^(C1)brothers and my friends,
I will now say, "^(C2)May peace be within you."

⁹ For the sake of the house of the LORD our God,
I will ^(C1)seek your good.
