1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice R119 in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.
2 Beware of the dogs, R120 beware of the evil R121 workers, beware of the false F39 circumcision; 3 for we R122 are the true circumcision, F40 who worship R123 in the Spirit of God and glory R124 in Christ R125 Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh, 4 although I R126 myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more: 5 circumcised R127 the eighth day, of the nation R128 of Israel, of the tribe R129 of Benjamin, a Hebrew R128 of Hebrews; as to the Law, a R130 Pharisee; 6 as to zeal, a R131 persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness R132 which is in the Law, found blameless. R133
7 But whatever R134 things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in F41 view of the surpassing value of knowing R135F42 Christ R136 Jesus my Lord, for F41 whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a R137 righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the R138 righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10 that I may know R139 Him and the R140 power of His resurrection and the R141F43 fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed R142 to His death; 11 in F44 order that I may attain R143 to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already obtained R144it or have already become R145 perfect, but I press on so F45 that I may lay R146 hold of that for F46 which also I was R147 laid hold of by Christ R148 Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting R149 what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press R150 on toward the goal for the prize of the upward R151 call of God in Christ R152 Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, R153F47 have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different R154 attitude, God R155 will reveal that also to you; 16 however, let us keep living R156F48 by that same standard to which we have attained.
17 Brethren, join R157 in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern R158 you have in us. 18 For many R159 walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, R160that they are enemies of the R161 cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, R162F49 and whose glory R163 is in their shame, who set R164 their minds on earthly things. 20 For our R165 citizenship F50 is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait R166 for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21 who will transform R167 the F51 body of our humble state into conformity R168 with the F52 body R169 of His glory, by R170 the exertion of the power that He has even to subject R171 all things to Himself.
