Christian, is constancy in the performance of all those duties enjoined us in God's sacred word. It includes activity and vigour
watchfulness against intruding objects
firmness and resolution
patience and perseverance. The shortness of our time; the importance of our work; the pleasure which arises from discharging duty; the uncertainty of the time of our dissolution; the consciousness we do not labour in vain; together with the example of Christ and all good men, should excite us to the most unwearied diligence in the cause of God, of truth, and our own souls.
