Holman Bible Dictionary
(ihd' bassh) Personal name meaning, “sweet as honey.” Son of Etam in the tribe of Judah (1 Chronicles 4:3 ), according to modern translations and earliest Greek translation. KJV follows Hebrew text in reading father rather than son of Etam.
