Jekabzeel
Holman Bible Dictionary
(jih kab' zee ehl) Place name meaning, “God assembled.” A city in southern Judah settled by members of the tribe of Judah after the Exile (Nehemiah 11:25 ). Jekabzeel was apparently south of the boundary of the Persian province of Judah, possibly at modern khirbet Gharreh or tell Ira. It is probably the same as Kabzeel, originally assigned to the tribe of Judah (Joshua 15:21 ) about halfway between tell Beersheba and tell Arad. See Kabzeel .
