Jerusha

Holman Bible Dictionary

(jih ryoo' sshuh) Personal name meaning, “one taken in possession.” Mother of Jotham, king of Judah (2 Kings 15:33 ). She was the daughter of Zadok, possibly of the priestly line. In 2 Chronicles 27:1 her name appears in the form Jerushah. The name of her father suggests that she may have been from a Levitical family.
