(sshehb' nuh) Personal name meaning, “He came near.” Royal scribe (2Kings 18:18,2 Kings 18:37; 2 Kings 19:2; Isaiah 36:3 ,Isaiah 36:3,36:22; Isaiah 37:2 ) and “comptroller of the household” (Isaiah 22:15 REB) under King Hezekiah about 715 B.C. See Scribe .
