Holman Bible Dictionary
(tihb hath) Place name meaning, “place of slaughter.” City from which David took spoils (or received tribute) of bronze (1 Chronicles 18:8 ). The site is likely in the vicinity of Zobah north of Damascus. The parallel in 2 Samuel 8:8 reads Betah.
