Manger
Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words
"a manger," Luke 2:7,12,16 , also denotes "a stall," 13:15. So in the Sept., the word denoted not only a "manger" but, by metonymy, the stall or crib (Proverbs 14:4 ) containing the "manger."
