Holman Bible Dictionary

(ee' fehss-dam' mihn) Place name meaning, “end of bloodshed.” Town between Shocoh and Azekah where Philistines gathered to fight Saul (1 Samuel 17:1 ) preceding David's killing of Goliath. It is apparently the same as Pas-dammim (1 Chronicles 11:13 ). It is modern Damun, four miles northeast of Shocoh.
