Holman Bible Dictionary
(eeu' nice) Personal name meaning, “victorious.” The mother of Timothy (2 Timothy 1:5 ). Both she and her mother Lois were commended by Paul for their faith. She was a Jewish woman whose husband was a Gentile. No details are known about her conversion to Christianity. See Timothy .
