Nubians
Holman Bible Dictionary
(nyoo' bih uhnss) Residents of an ancient kingdom along the Nile river in southern Egypt and northern Sudan (Daniel 11:43 , NIV; also NRSV margin). Cushites (REB) designates inhabitants of the same area. Other translations use Ethiopians, which formerly designated people of the same area. Modern Ethiopia lies further to the southeast. See Ethiopia .
