Salome
Holman Bible Dictionary
(ssuh loh' mih) Personal name meaning, “pacific.” Wife of Zebedee and mother of James and John (if one combines Mark 16:1; Matthew 27:56; compare John 19:25 ). She became a disciple of Jesus and was among the women at the crucifixion who helped prepare the Lord's body for burial. Some believe that she is mentioned in John 19:25 as Mary's sister, thus she would have been Jesus' aunt with James and John His cousins. See Mary .
