Holman Bible Dictionary
(zee' buhl) Personal name meaning, “prince” or “captain.” Resident of Shechem who was a follower of Abimelech, son of Gideon. When Gaal plotted against Abimelech in Shechem, Zebul sent word to Abimelech who came to Shechem and defeated Gaal (Judges 9:30-41 ).
