Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words
akin to A and B, above, primarily denotes "a hire," as in the Sept. of Deuteronomy 23:18; Proverbs 19:13; Ezekiel 16:31,34,41 , etc.; in the NT, it is used of "a hired dwelling," Acts 28:30 .
