1: αὐτόματος

(Strong's #844 — Adjective — automatos — ow-tom'-at-os )

"of oneself" (Eng., "automatic," "automaton," etc.), is used in Mark 4:28; Acts 12:10 . See ACCORD , B, No. 2.

2: αὐτός

(Strong's #846 — pronoun — autos — ow-tos' )

"he," also means "self," in the reflexive pronouns "myself, thyself, himself," etc. (see, e.g., HE), expressing distinction, exclusion, etc.; it is usually emphatic in the nominative case, e.g., Luke 6:42; 11:4; John 18:28; Romans 8:16 , RV, "Himself."

Note: In John 16:27 , "the Father Himself (autos)," Field (Notes on the Translation of the NT) remarks that autos stands for automatos.
