1: ὀργίζω

(Strong's #3710 — Verb — orgizo — or-gid'-zo )

always in the Middle or Passive Voice in the NT, is rendered "was (were) wroth" in Matthew 18:34; 22:7; Revelation 11:18 , RV, (AV, "were angry"); 12:17, RV, "waxed wroth." See ANGER , B, No. 1.

2: θυμόω

(Strong's #2373 — Verb — thumoo — thoo-mo'-o )

signifies "to be very angry" (from thumos, "wrath, hot anger"), "to be stirred into passion," Matthew 2:16 , of Herod (Passive Voice).

3: χολάω

(Strong's #5520 — Verb — cholao — khol-ah'-o )

primarily, "to be melancholy" (chole, "gall"), signifies "to be angry," John 7:23 , RV, "are ye wroth" (AV, "... angry").
