mḗ - rā´ya , mḗ - rı̄´a ( מריה , merāyāh , "contumacious"): A priest in the time of Joiakim son of Jeshua, and head of the priestly house of Seraiah to which Ezra belonged ( Nehemiah 12:12; compare Ezra 7:1 ).
