a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Tennessee in 1811. He removed to Marion County, Ill., where he was converted in 1831, and, after having exercised his gifts as exhorter and local preacher, in 1835 was admitted into the Illinois Conference, in which he did faithful service until his decease, in 1844.
